Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th May 2024 Written Update: In today’s episode, Ruhi thanks Vidya. Vidya tells Ruhi she is perfect for Arman, which makes Ruhi emotional. Ruhi asks Vidya why she hides the truth from Kaveri. Vidya explains that Kaveri and the Poddars will never understand that Arman sacrificed his love for Rohit. Ruhi thanks Vidya again. Abhira thinks about Vidya’s proposal for Ruhi and Arman and recalls her past with Arman, leaving her shattered.
Meanwhile, Ruhi dances happily. A student asks Arman to drop him off at college since his bike isn’t working. Arman agrees but avoids the boy when he learns he is Abhira’s classmate. Ruhi waits eagerly for Arman, planning to share the good news with him. She dreams about marrying Arman and believes no one can break their relationship.
Abhira struggles to focus on her exam. She tries to encourage herself but is distracted by thoughts of Vidya’s proposal and memories of Arman and Ruhi. Feeling overwhelmed, Abhira runs out of the examination hall. Arman learns that Abhira has quit her exam. Madhav and Sanjay disagree with Vidya’s decision about Arman and Ruhi.
Sanjay thinks Ruhi should marry someone else, but Kajal supports Ruhi and tells Sanjay to keep personal issues out of it. Manisha says Ruhi can’t simply be replaced in Arman’s life, and Krish and Manoj support her. Charu and Aryan support Arman and Ruhi. Vidya asks the Poddars to give her time to decide on Arman and Ruhi’s marriage.
Abhira feels guilty for ruining Akshara’s dream and regrets quitting the exam for Arman. She breaks down. Arman confronts Abhira about quitting the exam, but she tells him to stop controlling her. Arman orders her to finish the exam. Abhira tells Arman that his marriage is set with Ruhi, shocking him. She accuses him of not waiting until their divorce and calls herself a burden.
Abhira decides to do her best on the exam to free Arman from his responsibility. Arman is stunned, but the examiner refuses to let Abhira retake the exam. Arman tries to defend her, but Abhira insists on defending herself and asks Arman not to worry about her.
